The storyteller (Michael Gambon) recounts the tale of Theseus (David Morrissey), who travels to Crete to kill the dreaded half-man, half-bull Minotaur (Steve Varnom).

The cast also included actor Tom Ward, who would later appear in the role of Lord Roxton in the 2001 television mini-series The Lost World.

Greek Myths was a four episode follow-up to Jim Henson's The Storyteller (1987) and did not air in the United States until 1997 on HBO.

The production filmed in England.
