Original Italian title: Romolo e Remo.

Peplum epic starring bodybuilder and Hercules actor Steve Reeves (Romulus) and former screen Tarzan Gordon Scott (Remus) as twin brothers.

Directed by Sergio Corbucci whose other film credits include Goliath and the Vampires (1961), The Slave (1962) and The Hellbenders (1967).

Piero Lulli (cast as Sulpicius) later appeared again with Gordon Scott in Gladiator of Rome (1962) and The Beast of Babylon Against the Son of Hercules (1963).

Released in Italy with a 108 minute running time, the film was shortened to 89 minutes for it's United States theatrical run in 1963.

Both Steve Reeves and Gordon Scott share the same birth year: 1926 (Steve Reeves born January 21, 1926 and Gordon Scott born August 3, 1926).

The production filmed at Teatri della Farnesina, Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Piero Lulli passed in 1991 at the age of 68.
