Cast as Talon, actor Lee Horsley would later star as Natty Bumpo in the 1994-95 TV series Hawkeye.

Simon MacCorkindale (Lord Mikah) also appeared in the TV mini-series Hawkeye, the Pathfinder (1973) and Robbers of the Sacred Mountain (1982). (He passed in 2010 at the age of 58.)

Also cast is actor Reb Brown (Phillip), who would go on to star as Yor, the Hunter from the Future in 1983.

California filming locations included Bronson Canyon, Los Angeles and the Mission Inn, Riverside.

Sadly, stuntman Jack Tyree was killed during filming at the age of 37 when he jumped off a cliff and missed landing on his airbags.

Director Albert Pyun finally made the sequel to the film (which was hinted at in the end credits) in 2012. Titled Tales of an Ancient Empire, it starred Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, The Legendary Journeys), Ralf Moeller (Conan the Adventurer) and Lee Horsely reprising his role of Talon.
