An American actress (played by Beverly Garland) arrives in the jungle in search of her husband, who is involved with the purchase of illegal diamonds.

This was the eleventh (and penultimate) entry of the Bomba the Jungle Boy film series starring Johnny Sheffield and based on the literary character created by author Roy Rockwell.

Actress Beverly Garland would return to the jungle two years later in the 1956 film Curucu, Beast of the Amazon.

In the role of Sgt. Maitland, actor Russ Conway previously appeared in the 1953 Bomba film Safari Drums, but cast as Sgt. Collins.

Exterior filming was done at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, Arcadia, California.

Beverly Garland passed in 2008 at the age of 82.

Russ Conway passed in 2009 at the age of 95.
