Johnny Sheffield's ninth Bomba film was referred to (by the Los Angeles Times) as "one of the most exciting jungle pictures you have ever seen".

In the title credits the film's star is billed as John Sheffield instead of his usual screen name of Johnny Sheffield.

Cast as Steve, Paul Marion later appeared with former Tarzan Johnny Weissmuller in the Jungle Jim films Fury of the Congo (1951) and Killer Ape (1953).

In an uncredited role as a native, actor Jack Williams later worked as a stuntman on the 1970 films Beneath the Planet of the Apes and A Man Called Horse.

Paul Marion passed in 2011 at the age of 95.
