Released in France as Le Pacte des loups, this period action horror film featured actor Mark Dacascos as Mani, an Iroquois Indian of the Mohawk people, and the last of his tribe.

Born in Hawaii, Mark Dacascos is both an actor and martial artist. To prepare for his role in the film he studied Mohawk Indian culture and learned how to ride a horse.

There are three different versions of the film: the original French/US theatrical cut (143 minutes), the United Kingdom cut (139 minutes), and "The Director's Cut" (150 minutes).

Filming locations included the Château de Roquetaillade, a castle in Mazères (near Bordeaux), in the French département of Gironde.
