Set "one thousand years from tomorrow" this sci-fi adventure starred David Carradine as Kaz Oshay, a desert warrior and "Range Guide".

Carradine's next film, Circle of Iron , was released that same year. The actor would later star in 1984's The Warrior and the Sorceress and make an appearance in 1992's Double Trouble starring The Barbarian Brothers (Peter and David Paul).

Actor Richard Lynch (Ankar Moor) would go on to roles in The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) and The Barbarians (1987).

Filming locations in the Los Angeles, California area included both the Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park and Bronson Caves.

Due to it's poor performance at the box office, a planned sequel titled "Deathworld" was scrapped.

Co-star and former Playboy Playmate (November 1969) Claudia Jennings died the following year due to an automobile accident in 1979 at the age of 29.

David Carradine passed in 2009 at the age of 72.

Richard Lynch passed in 2012 at the age of 72.
