Directed by Adam Rifkin (Homo Erectus), this comedy film is set in the '70s and follows the mishaps of a high-school rock band determined to attend a KISS concert.

Cast in the role of Jam (the band's drummer), actor Sam Huntington had previously appeared as Mimi-Siku in the 1997 Disney comedy Jungle 2 Jungle.

A previous film appearance of actress Shannon Tweed (cast as an older woman at a strip club) was the 1989 comedy Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death.
