Produced by Arthur P. Jacobs, who later would excite theatergoers with the first five films of The Planet of the Apes fanchise (1968-1973).

Actor Geoffrey Holder, cast as the chieftain of Sea Star Island, also appeared in two episodes (S2.E10, S2.E18) of the Ron Ely Tarzan televsion series.

Featured as "a strong man", Frank Radcliffe also appeared as a "dancer" in 1943's White Savage starring Sabu.

Also appearing is Judy the Chimpanzee, perhaps best known for her television appearances on Lost In Space and Daktari in the 1960s.

Filming locations included Marigot Bay, St Lucia and Jungleland, Thousand Oaks, California.

Geoffrey Holder passed in 2014 at the age of 84.
