Recounts the true story of five American missionaries who, while attempting to evangelize the Waodani people, were speared by the Amazon tribe. Years later Steve Saint (Chad Allen), the son of one of the missionaries, forms a friendship with Mincayani (Louie Leonardo), the warrior who had killed his father. Prior to the film's release some Christian groups objected to the casting of openly gay actor Chad Allen, but the real Steve Saint, who was involved in the production of the film, approved of the choice.
