This is the fourth installment in the Indiana Jones film series starring Harrison Ford, the first being Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

The film introduces the audience to the Ugha warriors, who were the protectors of the Temple of Akator for thousands of years.

Hasbro released an 4" action figure of an Ugha warrior in their 2008 toy line based on the film.

Fans may wish to obtain the 2-disc Special Edition Blu-ray set of the film which contains a 5:34 minute special feature on the Ugha warrior makeup.

Scenes set in the Amazon jungle were filmed in Hilo, Hawaii and at Iguazu Falls on the border of Brazil and Argentina.
