Despite the title, this adventure film (having no "Kong" and no "island") concerns a Tarzan-like jungle girl and a sci-fi inspired mad scientist.

Bodybuilder actor Brad Harris previously starred in several classic peplum films, including Goliath Against the Giants (1961) and The Fury of Hercules (1962).
