Starring American actor and bodybuilder Gordon Mitchell in his first starring role following his uncredited screen appearance as a gladiator in Spartacus (1960).

Born Charles Allen Pendleton, Gordon Mitchell said that prior to going to Italy (and being given a screen name) he saw a clairvoyant who asked him if he had ever been known by the name of Gordon Mitchell.

This was also the first screen appearance of Paul Wynter (in the role of Mumba) whose only other peplum film credit would be Mole Men Against the Son of Hercules the same year.

Gordon Mitchell appeared in numerous 1960's sword and sandal films, including The Giant of Metropolis, Vulcan, Son of Jupiter , and The Fury of Achilles.

Best known as a competitive bobybuilder, Paul Wynter was awarded the title of Mr. Universe twice...first in 1960 and again in 1966.

Cast as Iphitos, actor Dante DiPaolo would again co-star with Gordon Mitchell the same year in Samson and the 7 Miracles of the World.

Paul Wynter passed in 2019 at the age of 83.
