Loosely based on the 1967 novel Outlaw of Gor by John Norman, this sequel to 1987's Gor again starred Italian actor Urbano Barberini as Tarl Cabot.

Director John "Bud" Cardos previous credits include acting appearances in episodes of TV's Daniel Boone, High Chaparrel and Custer.

The film is also known as Gor II, but may be best known as episode #519 of Mystery Science Theater 3000 under the title of Outlaw.

Filming locations include Namibia in Southern Africa.
