Directed by Umberto Lenzi (Sandokan the Great) this Euro-adventure stars Richard Harrison (The Invincible Gladiator) in the role of adventurer Alan Foster.

Other screen credits of Daniele Vargas include Hercules Against Rome (1964), Revenge of the Gladiators (1964) and Zambo, King of the Jungle (1972).

Cast as an "Complice di Sitama", actor Dakar would later appear as the "High Priest of The Spider" in 1982's Ator: the Fighting Eagle starring Miles O'Keeffe (Tarzan the Ape Man).

Based on the 1902 novel "La montagna di luce" by Emilio Salgari.

Released in the United States, United Kingdom and Ireland under the title Jungle Adventurer.
