Christopher Villiers was cast as Nigel with Lee Sheward as young Nigel, both actors spoofing the character of Richard Lestrange played by Christopher Atkins.

Starring Val Kilmer (his first film), the movie also featured appearances by British horror film icons Peter Cushing and Michael Gough.
