Italian title: Ursus nella valle dei leoni.
An infant (Ursus) is abandoned in a hidden valley where he is adopted and raised by a pride of lions (a storyline similar to that of Tarzan of the Apes) and grows to become a powerful giant of a man.
This was the second of three peplum films to star actor/bodybuilder Ed Fury as Ursus, the other two being Ursus (1961) and Ursus in the Land of Fire (1963).
Some early film appearances of Ed Fury include Abbott and Costello Go to Mars (1953), Demetrius and the Gladiators (1954), and The Wild Women of Wongo (1959).
When the film was released in the United States the title was shortened to simply Valley of the Lions.
The production filmed in Italy at Incir De Paolis Studios, Rome, Lazio.
