Directed by Jesús (Jess) Franco whose many film credits include Yuka (1974) and Diamonds of Kilimandjaro (1983).

Actor Al Cliver was also cast in another 1980 cannibal film: Devil Hunter, which was also directed by Jess Franco (credited as Clifford Brown).

Actress Sabrina Siani later appeared in the films Gunan, King of the Barbarians, Ator: The Fighting Eagle (starring Miles O'Keeffe), and The Sword of the Barbarians, all released in 1982.

Filmed in Portugal simultaneously with Cannibal Terror (1980), with both productions utilizing many of the same sets.
