Cast as The Colonel, actor Jock Mahoney had previously portrayed the ape man in two films: Tarzan Goes to India (1962) and Tarzan's Three Challenges (1963).
In 1960 Jock Mahoney had also appeared in Tarzan the Magnificent starring Gordon Scott in his last screen appearance as the King of the Jungle.
The episode also features actor Woody Strode (in the role of Sgt. Marshak) who had previously appeared with Jock Mahoney in 1963's Tarzan's Three Challenges.
